2022-25 Shop Update

Dec 31, 2025 | From the Archive

As I started to emerge from the pandemic fog in early 2023, life and work slowly found their way back to something resembling normal. There was plenty to catch up on, and motivation returned in short bursts — just enough to remind me why I love this work. Getting back into the shop felt good again, and the guitar shows finally opened their doors.

One of the highlights of this stretch was building some truly fun instruments, including the Steampunk Guitar I brought to the Woodstock show. Being invited back for the final Woodstock Invitational, run by Baker Rorick, was an honor and a real full‑circle moment after such a long pause in the world.

In 2024 and 2025, I returned to the Artisan Guitar Show, which was another welcome step back into the rhythm of the community. It felt great to work directly with customers again — talking through ideas, sharing new builds, and reconnecting with the people who make this craft worth doing.

These years were about rebuilding momentum, rediscovering the joy in the work, and reconnecting with the wider guitar world. Not everything went according to the promises I made in earlier updates, but the important part is that the shop came back to life.
