AS
The AS (Auditorium Series) is a body shape I first introduced more than twenty years ago, before the SJ became the focus of my larger‑body work. With renewed interest in this model, I’ve brought it back and updated the fixturing to reflect my current building approach, allowing the design to benefit from two decades of refinement in structure, voicing, and aesthetic language. The AS offers a wide, balanced voice in a comfortable, versatile body — large enough to produce depth and presence, yet shaped to remain responsive and controlled under a light touch. Its proportions make it equally suited to fingerstyle and melodic flatpicking, with a clarity that never feels clinical and a warmth that never becomes diffuse. As this model resumes its place in the lineup, I look forward to presenting new examples that highlight the strengths of this revived design.
