OM
The OM is the most versatile instrument in the Classic Series, balancing the clarity and articulation of a 14‑fret design with the warmth and responsiveness that define my modern voicing approach. Its refined proportions make it equally at home in fingerstyle settings and light to moderate strumming, offering a clean, focused attack without feeling tight or constrained. The longer neck shifts the bridge slightly upward on the top, giving the OM a quicker response and a more contemporary feel while still honoring the lineage of the original Orchestra Model. Over the years, it has also become my most requested build — a popularity that likely reflects my own affinity for the shape. It’s the model I return to again and again, drawn by its balance, adaptability, and the way it consistently brings out the best in my approach to tone and structure. For players who want a single instrument that can move effortlessly between styles, the OM remains the most adaptable voice in the Classic Series.
While the Classic Series OM follows the traditional 14‑fret architecture and proportions associated with the Orchestra Model, I don’t treat historical specifications as fixed boundaries. Scale length, in particular, is chosen for tone, feel, and the musical goals of the instrument rather than strict adherence to a single vintage template. In the Classic Series, the OM name reflects the body shape and design lineage, while the Vintage Series is where I follow period‑correct specifications more closely.
